Arkansas Cockroaches
Small indoor breeders and big outdoor roaches that wander in after rain need very different plans.
Most roach calls in Central Arkansas come down to two questions: is it a German cockroach breeding inside the kitchen, or a larger outdoor species like the American or smokybrown roach that slipped in from the yard, sewer line, or mulch? The outdoor species are usually handled during general pest control. German cockroaches live their whole lives indoors and need a dedicated cleanout.
- American Cockroach
A large roach in an Arkansas bathroom or garage may be an American cockroach, not a German cockroach infestation. These larger insects often come from damp outdoor or utility spaces, although suitable indoor areas can also support them.
- German Cockroach
Tiny roaches around an Arkansas kitchen are not the same problem as a large outdoor roach wandering through a door. German cockroaches live and reproduce indoors, often close to appliances, food, and water. Correct identification changes the treatment plan.
